In San Agustin (also Sant Agustí) live around 14,500 inhabitants in mostly high apartment complexes, which are mostly equipped with pool and have sea views. Tourists and residents from all over the world give the area a quite international flair.
In San Agustin and also in the neighboring suburb of Cala Major, numerous bars, discos, pubs and boutiques are located, in which tourists, especially in the summer months romp around. In Cala Major there is also a small bay with a sandy beach, which is jointly responsible for the tourist conquest of Mallorca. Another small sandy beach with some hidden access is located between San Agustin and the west adjacent town of Cas Catala. Larger and more beautiful beaches can be found in the neighboring Illetas.
San Agustin has a small marina. Here, however, are smaller boats and yachts, as in the port of the island metropolis or the nearby marina Puerto Portals. In Portals Nous, or the port of Puerto Portals, are mainly the luxury and mega yachts of the beautiful and rich.
Also various sport offers are to be found in San Agustin. Again and again, a visit to the “Marineland” is only a few kilometers away. Here you can admire many exotic animals and the sea lion and dolphin shows are always very popular with children.
